Books
- Cynthia Ulrich Tobias (1994). The way they learn: How to discover and teach to your child’s strength, 1st edition. Wheaton, IL. Tyndale House Publishers.
Comment : “The author introduces the variety of learning styles that shape the way students interpret the world. With this understanding as a tool, the parents can become far more effective in helping children grasp confusing concepts stay interested in lessons, and utilize new strengths.” In our opinion, this understanding most likely can help parents to be more empathic when they interact with their children. This book is very easy to read. We highly recommend it.
- Gary Chapman (2000). The five love languages of teenagers. Grand Rapids, Michigan. Zondervan Publishing House.
Comment : Love needs to be felt. How love can be felt by a person has a lot to do with the inborn nature of that person. Parenting can be more effective and empathic if parents learn to speak teenager’s particular love language. The process to discover ways to nurture your teen’s inner spirit and learn how you can fill his or her love tank can be fun and very rewarding.
